The Bloch MB.174 is a French reconnaissance and bomber with an all-metal structure, twin-engine from the beginning of World War II. The flight of the MB.174 prototype took place in January 1939. The plane showed good flight characteristics, but it also had several "childhood diseases", including there were problems with the engine cooling. Mainly because of them, as well as the irregular deliveries of Gnome-Rhone14N 48/49 engines, until May 1940, only 25 copies of this machine were delivered to the linear units. Another significant disadvantage was the fact that the MB.174 could only take 400 kg of bombs, which also put its combat effectiveness in question. The great advantage of the structure was the high maximum ceiling. After the defeat of France, MB.174 served primarily in the aviation of the Vichy State. Technical data: Maximum speed: 529 km / h, speed of climb: 12.1 m / s, maximum ceiling 11000 m, maximum range: 1600 km, armament: fixed - 6 machine guns wz. MAC 1934 cal. 7.5 mm, suspended - up to 400 kg of bombs.
